Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)
RYPEN stands for Rotary Youth Program of ENrichment
RYPEN is a 2.5 day residential experience, where participants are involved in a variety of sessions, workshops and activities, which provide an opportunity for them to personally develop, challenge themselves, build friendships with like-minded people, and build life skills.
Participants develop awareness in areas such as:
- working in a team
- decision making
- facing fears
- contributing to community
RYPEN also provides an opportunity for participants to:
- build confidence, and self esteem
- increase self awareness
- consider the impact of life choices
- build trust
- explore values
RYPEN is about having fun
Throughout the seminar, participants work together in small groups with paired youth leaders from the RYPEN 2014 Experience. Each group also has an adult mentor allocated to the group.
The 2015 RYPEN camp will be held from 4:00 pm Friday 11 September to 3:30 pm Sunday 13 September 2015. Please note the change in time in the school year and the shorter program – we now start on Friday, after school. Applications should be lodged by August 31, 2015.
